Principle of Suspended Solids Measurement: As the concentration of suspended solids increases, particles begin to interfere with each other.
When turbidity becomes high, light particles cannot reach the detector properly, or reflected light is not detected accurately, resulting in distorted measurements.
The 90° scattered light method is only suitable for low turbidity levels.

Therefore, WTW uses two different measurement methods depending on the concentration

•Scattered light method for low concentrations
• Back scattered light method for high concentrations
